Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea's goalkeeper, discussed his hopes for the future of his team next season. One of these was his wish that Real Madrid do not manage sign striker Kai Havertz, in whom he sees great experience despite the German being just 24 years old.
As well as this was the desire that Portugal's Joao Felix will opt for a loan return to the London club, after a difficult first adventure due to the poor situation of the team.
Havertz is on Real Madrid's list of possible signings for their forward line, following the departures of Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz. Kepa highlighted his virtues in an interview with 'EFE' and showed his hope that his teammate will not leave Chelsea after a bad year.
"Being a Chelsea player, I hope he stays, because he is a very good player who gives us a lot. He is very young but he has a lot of experience," the Basque goalkeeper said of his German teammate.
"He is a player who can play in different positions, with the ball he plays very well, he has a very good left foot. The way he works and fights for the team, he does us a lot of good," he added.
After the end of Joao Felix's six-month loan, Kepa hopes despite Chelsea's poor performance, which sees them trophyless this season and out of European football next season, the Portuguese international considers his decision to return to Spain carefully.
"It is his decision but the adaptation to English football has been quick, I have seen him very well, he connected with teammates quickly on the field", he noted
"It is true that he has come in a complicated year for Chelsea, it has not been easy because we have not had good dynamics and in the end when you arrive in the middle of the season to a group like this, it is difficult to change it," he said.
"I'm sure it hasn't been the best experience for him because of how it has gone and he has to decide now. I hope he stays at Chelsea because he has a lot of quality," he said.
