Dele Alli has been one of the great Premier League stars, but his career has waned as time has gone by. He is only 27 years old and there are those who think he still has time to react and to redirect his situation in the world of football.
The Englishman excelled at Tottenham, but dropped to the Spurs bench and that led him to leave for Everton, and then ended up at Besiktas. After finishing his loan spell in Turkey, where he was in the limelight due to extra-sporting issues, the striker has returned to the Toffees, who are hoping he will bounce back.
Mauricio Pochettino, who coached Dele Alli between 2015 and 2020, spoke to 'The Mirror' and made no secret of his concern. In fact, the Argentine vowed to call him to give him a hand.
"It's been a long time since we last spoke, but I want to contact him and see what's going on. I want to help him. He's still young and I'm sure he has the mentality to change," said the current Chelsea boss.
