"City won't beat Madrid, they'll destroy them"

Real Madrid, current holders of the Champions League title, are preparing to face Manchester City in the semi-final of the competition, the most in-form side in Europe.
With a bit more than 48 hours to go before the game, Wayne Rooney gave his view in an interview with 'The Times'. Despite the rivalry that he had with City when he was at United, the ex-England international thinks that Guardiola's men are large favourites.
"Manchester City will not beat Real Madrid, they will destroy them." the Red Devils legend declared to the British newspaper.
Rooney equally praised Erling Haaland, and explained that the Merengues won't manage to stop him: "How are Real going to stop Haaland? They've got Rudiger, but I think Haaland will destroy them".
