Paris Saint-Germain have started to work on squad planning without Kylian Mbappe. The French striker has said he has no intention of renewing his contract until 2025 and the Parisian club are not ruling out the possibility of selling him in the summer.
In that sense, current sporting director Luis Campos began to think about who could replace the Parisian star and one of the names that emerged was that of Bernardo Silva, who would have intentions of leaving Manchester City.
As reported by 'L'Equipe', PSG are willing to negotiate with the board of the recent Champions League winners for a player swap deal that will be the talk of the footballing world.
The French side would be willing to let Marco Verratti leave, one of the team's key players, in exchange for Bernardo Silva, whose future is still unknown. An operation that seems unlikely.
PSG understand that City will need a replacement for Ilkay Gundogan in midfield and would therefore offer the Italian midfielder as part of the deal, although youngster Warren Zaire-Emery could also be part of the negotiation.
For now nothing has been officially confirmed, but it is certain that the French side are joining the race for the highly-rated Portuguese player, who is also on Barcelona's radar.
