According to 'The Times', Inter Miami were close to agreeing a deal with Leo Messi to sign him for next season. The same media outlet reported that he will sign with the American team after the World Cup. However, according to 'Sport', his inner circle denied it.
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez was questioned about the possibility of Messi's return at Barca.
"If Messi wants to, he can return to Barca, for sure. Who wouldn't like to coach him?," the coach said.
Xavi Hernandez also named Messi's biggest sporting rival: "For me, he is still number one. Cristiano Ronaldo is still among the best on the planet too."
