After a pre-season tour of the United States, Chelsea are back in London and already preparing for the start of the Premier League season against Manchester City on 18 August.
Levi Colwill gave an interview to the club and said he "cannot wait to be back in front of the Stamford Bridge faithful on Sunday", as it is almost three months since the Blues' last game at Stamford Bridge against Bournemouth which ended in victory.
This seems to have been felt by the players as defender Colwill said they have missed their fans this pre-season. "Being back at the Bridge with our fans is very exciting. I don’t think they understand how much we miss hearing them over the summer. It’s definitely going to be exciting, and we will need them for the whole season, just like we did last year."
The Blues player's wait will not be long as they will face Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge on 11 August before making his Premier League debut against Guardiola's side this season.
"We have to go into the Inter Milan game and act like it’s the first game of the season. They are a great team. They were in the Champions League final two seasons ago so they have a lot to offer, and they will challenge us, so to get a win would hopefully set us on a good path for the rest of the season."
