Michel, after the defeat against Feyenoord, assured that he was not “hurt” by the defeat, but he was critical of his team. The Girona coach admitted to being “worried, upset and unhappy” with the version of his team after the 1-0 defeat, with mistakes, lacking verticality and aggressiveness.

Michel Sanchez regretted Wednesday's defeat against Feyenoord (2-3) in the first Champions League match at Montilivi, which Girona did not deserve to lose and “generated enough to get a positive result” in a “spectacular” second half, but accepted that “football is like that” and that at this moment the team has to face and assume “incomprehensible defeats”.
The coach affirmed that it is a defeat that does not “hurt” because Girona did “many things well” and deserved “more”, but stressed that the current bad streak, with 4 defeats and 2 draws, will not make a “dent” in the dressing room and he was convinced of turning the situation around.
Michel pointed out that Girona entered the match “very well”, but noted that after David Lopez's goal came 15 or 20 “very bad” minutes in which he did not like his team “at all” because they played too much backwards and combined too much with their goalkeeper, Paulo Gazzaniga.
In this sense, he acknowledged being “concerned”, “displeased” and “disgruntled” by this stretch of the match in which his players chained horizontal passes without aggressiveness, without verticality, without intention and without looking at the opponent. He said that “too many players” made mistakes.
