Barcelona are looking for a coach for the 2024/25 season. Xavi Hernandez has announced that he is stepping down on 30 June and the board is now trying to find a coach on the market.
Antonio Conte is one of the options they are considering. According to 'Sport', the Catalan side have been offered the possibility of having the Italian in charge of the squad.
Antonio Conte would be willing to listen to Barcelona. If the idea of a coach that the Spanish club are looking for fits his profile, he would be delighted to take charge of the Catalan side next season.
The same media outlet reports that Conte's name is not on the shortlist as the main contender is Jurgen Klopp, but it is a more than complicated option, as the coach has said he plans to take a break after the end of the season with Liverpool.
At the moment, no one has been chosen. In Conte's favour is his extensive experience in the dugout. He has had spells at the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Tottenham and the Italian national team.
Conte's name joins that of Hansi Flick, another candidate who would like to take the reins. In the meantime, the Barcelona camp are taking it easy. There is time and they do not want to rush in the search for an heir to the position left by Xavi.
