Cooper fancies Leicester's chances against changed United
Leicester boss Steve Cooper believes Man United's change in manager could be an opportunity for his side to upset the Red Devils - whom they face on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup - though he admits that Leicester are more focused on themselves.

Leicester have not had the best start to their 2024/2025 season. The Foxes currently sit 15th with 9 points from 9 games in the Premier League after earning promotion from the Championship last season, as the fourth round of the Carabao Cup awaits for them on Wednesday.
The Midlands team face a tough challenge in Manchester United at Old Trafford, though Steve Cooper seems confident that his side could upset the Red Devils amid the chaos currently surrounding the club. United are set to kick off their Ten Hag-less era against Leicester, following his sacking on Moday.
“I’m sure the atmosphere will be really good tomorrow and we’ve got to try and thrive in that moment," said the Leicester boss. "That’s what we’ve been talking about in the past day or so. We’re looking forward to getting down there."
Man United will be led by Van Nistelrooy during the clash, who's been appointed on an interim basis. "When you come up against a change in manager, it’s a really good challenge to show how good your own work is as a team, in terms of your ideas of play, both with and without the ball, because really, if you get it right, you should be able to adapt to anything that you face and that will be no different tomorrow," he explained.
“There’s always context to a game and this one is the change from league to cup and the change in manager with an interim going in," said Cooper. "That can add to the atmosphere and we’re very aware of that, but it hasn’t changed our objective and what we want to do in the game and that’s the bit we can influence. We’re focused on ourselves and how we get us right for the game.”
