Manchester United are undergoing a cost-cutting exercise under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, which has led to the Red Devils making headlines across the British press on Saturday morning.
The Red Devils have two Ballon d'Or nominated players, namely Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo will attend the award ceremony in Paris on Monday 28 October. According to Mail Sport, Manchester City had chartered a private jet for their eight nominees to travel to the French capital on Monday.
The Old Trafford outfit had reportedly asked their rivals and neighbours Cityzens if the Argentine winger and England midfielder could join their flight to Paris to avoid unnecessary expenses.
However, as reported by the British newspaper, the Sky Blues have politely declined the offer as they have no more room with eight players in their squad nominated for the prestigious award.
