Cristiano Ronaldo has 'shaped the history of football', says Barca's Lewandowski

There's a saying that class recognises class, and it's not wrong at all. Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has had some kind words for Cristiano Ronaldo, one of his main competitors for several years for the European golden boot.
The Poland international acknowledged what the Portuguese superstar has achieved throughout his career and how he has entered the history books. In addition, the former Bayern striker stressed the incredible ambition he shows despite being almost 40 years old.
"I fully recognize what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved throughout his career and how he’s shaped the history of football with his records. This will certainly remain etched in football history. At 39, nearing 40, he still shows incredible ambition," he said.
The Polish striker also had time to praise his new Barcelona team-mate Wojciech Szczesny, with whom he will be able to play alongside again once the international break is over, as the former Juventus goalkeeper retired from international duty.
