Riyadh's Al-Nassr advanced to the semi-finals of the Saudi King Cup on Monday after beating Al Shabab 5-2 with Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo's fifty-first goal of the year.
Al-Nassr won with goals from Seko Fofana, Sadio Mane, Abdulrahman Ghareeb, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohammed Maran.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 38, took advantage of a through ball into the box from compatriot Otavio to fire past South Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-Gyu to make it 4-1.
Also through to the semi-finals were Al-Khaleej, led by Pedro Emanuel of Portugal, who defeated Abha (1-2), and Al-Hilal, also led by Jorge Jesus of Portugal, who eliminated Al Taawoun (3-0). The quarter-finals are completed on 19th December with the meeting between Al-Faysaly and Al-Ittihad.
It is Cristiano Ronaldo's 51st goal. The controversy lies in a Cancelo shot, in the Portugal-Luxembourg match in March, which finally touched Cristiano Ronaldo before going into the goal.
