Feyenoord defender David Hancko told 'Rijnmond' on Saturday that he has already expressed his desire for next season and that now it's "up to the clubs" in reference to interest in his transfer from Atletico Madrid, while also expressing his affection for the Dutch club, but also his desire to "keep moving forward".
"I've said what I want and now it's up to the clubs," he told the Dutch broadcaster on Saturday. "Everyone knows how much I love Feyenoord. I have created memories here that I will never forget. But I also want to keep moving forward as a sportsman.
"I also felt at home at Sparta Prague, but I also wanted to make the move to Feyenoord. Now I want to stay fit and be ready for anything. It depends on the clubs," he added.
"Of course it won't be a disappointment if I stay here. I love this club. De Kuip is still special every game. You can see how this club has grown in the last few years. I am also very grateful to the fans for their support. My goal has always been to play in the biggest leagues," he continued.
"I am happy with how I have played in the last two years, thanks to the club, the coaches and the teammates. I know I'm a good player, but without them I wouldn't be as good as I am now. I try to stay focused all season and give my all on the pitch," concluded Hancko, who has played 93 games in the last two seasons for the Dutch club, scoring eleven goals and assisting eight.
