Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea said on Monday that teammate Edoardo Bove, who collapsed in Sunday's Serie A match against Inter, is "feeling better".
The Spanish goalkeeper went to the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, where Edoardo Bove is in intensive care and briefly told the media that the player was awake and feeling better. Throughout the morning, many teammates and coach Raffaele Palladino came to visit the stricken player.
Bove, who thanks to medical assistance managed to come out of cardiorespiratory arrest and arrived at the hospital breathing, was stabilised in the intensive care unit where he spent the night under pharmacological sedation.
Initial tests on Sunday afternoon ruled out serious damage to the central nervous and cardiorespiratory systems. Meanwhile, Fiorentina have scheduled a training session for Monday afternoon in preparation for the Coppa Italia clash against Empoli which remains on schedule pending the player's improvement.
