David de Gea felt like a footballer again after more than a year away from the pitch. The Spanish goalkeeper, who recently signed for the 'Viola', made his debut as a starter in the Italian side's match against Puskas Akademia in the first leg of the Conference League play-off final.
However, things did not go well for the goalkeeper. In the space of just 12 minutes, the former Manchester United man conceded twice.
The first of them was from 12 yards, in an action where the Spanish goalkepeer was sent to the wrong side. Just four minutes later, Fiorentina conceded a second and De Gea could do nothing to prevent the goal.
Should the Italian side be eliminated, they would be in serious trouble for that extra place in the Champions League that UEFA awards to the country whose teams perform best in Europe.
