Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong discussed his relationship with club president Laporta with 'Ziggo Sport Voetbal' : "I'm fine with Laporta. I've never been bad with him. They had that situation with him in the summer, but my relationship with him is fine".
The Dutch international is under contract with Barcelona until 2026, and has been integral for the side, starting over 30 matches this season with the La Liga champions. The team will be presented with the trophy after their game on Saturday with Real Sociedad and it's clear de Jong will be part of the celebrations.
He continued on the rumours regarding Leo Messi's potential return to his old club saying, "Messi? He's a fantastic, he's great! But I have no idea if his return going to happen or not". The Argentinian will be out of contract with PSG at the end of this season and the rumour mill has been linking him with his former club.
However Barcelona would struggle to foot the bill for the World Cup winner with Argentina, as they are currently facing several investigations and are under scrutiny by La Liga for their financial viability plan. Although the Dutchman seems to think it's unlikely, it remains to be seen if Messi fits in with Barcelona's plans for next season.
