De Rossi, the miracle Roma needed

Daniele de Rossi is Roma's hero. Although he has only been on the bench for two months, the former 'Giallorossi' player has given hope to the fans who did not understand the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
The club explained that, "for the good of the club" it was necessary "an immediate change" and opted for Daniele de Rossi, a legend who spent time at the Italian club as a player from 2001 until 2019, when he decided to try his luck at Boca Juniors. Having become a coach after his time at SPAL, Roma put their faith in him and made no mistake with their decision.
When Mourinho left, Roma were in ninth place with 29 points. The reality is quite different now, as the team is in the European places: they are fifth and have 47 points.
In Serie A, De Rossi has taken 18 points from a possible 21, an impressive feat. He has only lost once since his arrival in the domestic competition. That was against Inter Milan on matchday 24, a game that ended 2-4 in favour of the 'Nerazzurri'.
In the Europa League, so far, the coach is undefeated. He led his side in the round of 32 against Feyenoord, drawing 1-1 in the first leg and repeating the result in the second leg. In that game, the match was decided on penalties and Roma booked their place in the last 16, where they were drawn against Brighton, whom they thrashed 4-0 in the first round.
To date, he has coached Roma in 10 official matches, 7 in Serie A and 3 in the Europa League. His record is seven wins, two draws and just one defeat.
Roma needed a miracle and De Rossi showed up to make them forget their woes. The fans already adored him as a player and he has won the hearts of everyone, now from the bench.
