"Dembele plays like an autistic"
Former Argentina, Olympique Marseille and Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli, among others, criticised Ousmane Dembele's performance at the last European Championship, as he did with France as a whole.

Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli made some controversial statements about Ousmane Dembele, Paris Saint-Germain and France winger at the last European Championship. The former coach of the ‘Albiceleste’ considered the Frenchman's way of playing "autistic".
"When he runs forward, the other players are like spectators watching how the action will end. They know he plays like an autistic: he starts the action and finishes it alone. He doesn't have the ability to make a team-mate shine, he only knows how to shine himself," Sampaoli told 'So Foot'.
Another of the other big names was Kylian Mbappe, after the poor showing he had at the European Championship with France amid physical problems and a lack of goals: "He's a bit like Dembele.
He also reviewed France's European Championship run, which after a lacklustre performance saw them crash out in the semi-finals against reigning champions Spain.
"France have an extraordinary team, but they need to run a lot and when the spaces are reduced, they can't find attacking ways despite their enormous individual abilities".
"The team depends entirely on their solidity and a good day from their stars. That's not my idea of football," said the former Olympique Marseille coach.
