Ousmane Dembele is on the verge of signing of Paris Saint-Germain. The French club want to get the deal sorted before midnight on Monday, as it means they activate the €50 million release clause for the winger.
Barcelona had been in talks to try and get the winger to renew, after his sixth season with the Spanish club saw them secure another domestic title, but according to Catalan outlet 'RAC1', he has turned down their latest offer.
According to journalists Fabrizio Romano and Santi Aouna, the French international has instead given the 'ok' to the Ligue 1 champions, who have offered him a five-year contract.
Although there's still almost two months left on the transfer window, PSG have a deadline for this deal of July 31st. Not only is it the deadline they've given Kylian Mbappe to decide his future, but it's key for their bank account regarding Dembele.
As mentioned, the winger can leave Barcelona for 50 million euros... but only until Monday. As of Tuesday, his termination clause doubles to 100 million euros.
Of the 50 million total that Paris Saint-Germain will pay, 25 will go directly to Barcelona, and the other 25 to Dembele and his agents, in the agreement they reached in the last renewal.
