Denzel Dumfries set to sign new deal with Inter

Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi confirmed on Monday that Denzel Dumfries is set to extend his contract with the 'Nerazzurri'. The new deal will tie Dumfries to Milan until 2028, after he joined the club in 2021.

Dutch Right-back Denzel Dumfries is set to sign a new deal with Serie A Champions Inter Milan. The 28-year-old, who initially joined the 'Nerazzurri' in the 2021/2022 summer transfer window, is set to pen the contract which will tie him to Milan until 2028.
The confirmation came from Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi himself. “Denzel Dumfries is set to sign a new deal… it’s really likely, yes. We are very happy as he’s key player for us”.
The player's contract was initally thought to include a €15-20 million release-clause, as reported by Pasquale Guarro in September. However, according to 'Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio, there is no such clause present in the contract.
Dumfries' new salary will reportedly see him earningh €4 milion per season. Since his arrival at Inter Milan, Dumfries made 102 appearances in Serie A, contributing with 11 goals and 17 assists.
