Alejandro Garnacho was Manchester United's surprise package last season after putting in fine performances in several competitions. So much so that the Argentina national team decided to count on him for international matches.
Several compatriots such as Angel Di Maria, who has already become an Argentina legend, are aware of the 19-year-old's potential but have taken issue with some of the United winger's gestures.
"The only thing I wouldn't do is celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration. I would score the goal and I would do like Messi does. I’ll stick with that," said the Benfica forward, referring to when Garnacho celebrates like his idol Ronaldo when he scores.
However, the 35-year-old is full of praise for the new Manchester United star. "He is a very fast player, he has incredible ability. He is going to gain it with experience and coming to the national team, it is a place where you learn a lot and continue to improve," he told 'Ole'.
"He has a lot of future, a very big future. It depends on him, on his head, to be able to handle it. I don’t have much to say, there’s a reason he’s playing for Manchester United," he concluded.
