Atletico will have their first pre-season test against Numancia on Friday. A friendly in which we will not be able to see any signings in action because the club have not yet signed any reinforcements.
With exactly 24 days to go until the start of La Liga, Atletico have not closed any signings. There was speculation that Artem Dovbyk was imminent, but things have become more complicated in the last few hours.
As a result, the fans are getting impatient as they have witnessed the departure of eight players and, for the moment, have not been able to celebrate the arrival of any new players.
Vitolo, Memphis Depay and Mario Hermoso have already left. Saul has gone on loan to Sevilla while Gabriel Paulista left as a free agent for Besiktas. Soyuncu left the club for Fenerbahce for 8.5 million euros and Savic, who has signed for Trabzonspor, was the last to leave.
Milan paid Alvaro Morata's €13 million buyout clause to take the striker. In total, Atletico have made just over 20 million euros from the departures.
With less than a month to go before the league opener, Atletico have more than one position to fill. In addition to Dovbyk, other players such as Julian Alvarez, Hancko, Dani Olmo and Conor Gallagher have been linked.
