Unai Emery ahead of Aston Villa's crucial game against Liverpool has backed new additions Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio to rediscover their best form at Villa Park.
The Spanish boss believes he can guide the pair back to "their best level" as they approach full fitness and integration into the team. Emery praised the unique talent of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, setting a high benchmark for his new signings to aspire to.
"Salah is a player who assists and scores goals more than anyone, and the players we have have different qualities," Emery stated, highlighting the Egyptian's exceptional output.
Although Rashford and Asensio do not yet have Salah's stature, the Villa manager emphasised that they can contribute significantly.
Emery's challenge lies in maximising the duo's abilities, with the manager noting, "They can score goals and do assists but the level after (them) is one player who achieve doing double numbers (10 or more in both goals and assists) which is a high level in the Premier League".
