Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Tuesday that, despite losing German Toni Koos, he has "all the possibilities in the world to replace him", at the press conference ahead of the friendly in Chicago (Illinois) against Milan to open their pre-season tour of the United States. He also said that Brazilian Endrick will play 45 minutes in the friendly against Milan.
"For him, it's been a very exciting week, he has an impressive quality... very powerful, quick, he adapts very well to the team. I'm not going to ask too much of him because we have to bear in mind it's an exciting time, he's going to play 45 minutes, we're delighted he's with us," he said. He also joked about Antonio Rudiger's stern "welcome" to Endrick at Madrid's training session in Chicago on Monday.
"Rudiger just said ‘welcome’ to Endrick," he said with a laugh. He expressed his total confidence in the youth players he took to the United States, such as Latasa, Joan Martinez, Jacobo Ramon and Raul Asencio. "The youth players are very focused, they want to learn, they want to listen, they want to improve, to learn. For me, it's very nice. They have quality, I don't know if they will play for Madrid one day, but I think they will have a future", he said.
Real Madrid face Milan at Soldier Field in Chicago on Wednesday, where a sell-out crowd is expected for the first game of their pre-season tour of the United States. They then face Barcelona in New Jersey and Chelsea in Charlotte.
