Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins have been dropped from England's squad for the Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland respectively.
The players, who are affected by various fitness problems, have returned to their respective clubs to continue their rehabilitation, the England FA said in a statement.
Foden will return to Manchester City, where he has yet to start this season, Palmer to Chelsea and Watkins to Aston Villa to try to recover as soon as possible.
England, relegated to League B, face Ireland on Saturday and Finland three days later. The two matches will be used to introduce Lee Carsley, the Three Lions' new interim manager following Gareth Southgate's departure after Euro 2024.
