Cruz Azul are looking hard for a new striker to bolster their ranks for the start of 2023. One of the names that attracted the most attention at the end of last year was that of Enner Valencia.
The Fenerbahçe striker, who played well for Ecuador at the World Cup in Qatar, spoke from Turkey about the rumour linking him with the Mexican team.
"My future is at Fenerbahce," the Ecuadorian told 'Ajansspor'. At 34 years of age and with the possibility of negotiating with any club, as his contract expires in the middle of the current year, the striker stated that he is happy wearing the shirt of the Turkish club and that he is not thinking of leaving.
Given Valencia's refusal, Radamel Falcao Garcia would be the striker targeted to reinforce Cruz Azul's forward line, but negotiations have not yet begun, neither with the Colombian nor with Rayo Vallecano.
