Enzo Fernandez will not be sanctioned by the English Football Association for his racist anti-French chant during Argentina's Copa America celebrations.
The Chelsea player broadcast a few seconds of a racist chant against the French in a live social media broadcast, which provoked negative reactions from his teammates, who branded the act as racist and unfollowed him on social media.
The Argentinian midfielder apologised to his teammates and donated money to an anti-racism charity, for which he was not suspended by Chelsea.
As the events occurred when the player was with Argentina, he will not be investigated by the FA, the same case as Rodrigo Hernandez, who was given a one-match international ban for chanting with Alvaro Morata about Gibraltar.
However, Rodrigo Bentancur, who could face up to a 12-match ban for a racist reference to Son, is being investigated by the FA as his comments on a Uruguayan programme came before he was recruited by Uruguay.
