Chelsea were left without Champions League football at the quarter final stage after Real Madrid imposed themselves 0-2 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg. This paved the way to a whole load of criticism towards the multi-million pound squad.
One of the main targets of all the criticism was Enzo Fernandez, who arrived at the club in January for €121 million and has not managed to improve the state of the team. Ex-pro Wesley Sneijder led the critics when speaking to 'RTL7'.
"If you sign a player for €100 million you expect them to run like mad.... but he was walking", the Dutchman said. The, the ex-Real Madrid and Inter Milan man continued to critcise him, giving his opinion.
"I don't even think he's a good footballer. He was signed after having a good World Cup.... he's far from that... If I were the owner, I'd call him in for a meeting the following day", he concluded.
