Manchester United's board is piling up the workload. The Manchester club are still deciding whether to replace Erik ten Hag, who has led the Red Devils to their second consecutive trophy in two seasons, for next campaign.
The Dutch manager has helped the English side win the Carabao Cup title in the 2022/23 term and they lifted the FA Cup trophy this past season after beating Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
However, it has not been all plain sailing for the former Ajax boss. United finished the Premier League season in eighth place, below the likes of Newcastle United and Chelsea, among others, which seems unacceptable for the board as they will have no European football next term.
As a result, the board led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe are looking for possible replacements for the Dutchman. They received a rejection from Thomas Tuchel, who has just left Bayern Munich and does not want to take charge of any club at the moment.
Several coaches such as Thomas Frank, Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino are being considered for the job as United want the club to get back to winning ways in the next few years. They do not want to make any mistakes and are therefore taking their time to make a decision on a new manager.
