Eriksen-Man Utd: no talks and player likely to leave as free agent

Chrstian Eriksen is tipped to leave Manchester Untited at the end of the season. The midfielder, who's contract terminates in June, is likely to leave Old Trafford as a free agent, as there have been no talks over a new contract between the player and the club, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.
At 32 years old, the news is far from a surprise for the supporters, as the player does not seem to have found his shine since leaving Tottenham during the 2019/2020 season. Eriksen has endured a troubled time at Inter Milan during his two-year stint in Italy, as he struggled to make his way up the rankings of former Inter manager Conte.
After the horrible incident in the Euros in 2021 during the Denmark-Finland game, the player was not able to return to the Serie A. He was banned from playing in Italy again as he was fitted with a heart-starting device following his cardiac arrest. He was later signed by Brentford before moving to United in 2022, currently facing his third year at the club.
Despite having past his peak, Eriksen is currently in the midst of a positive spell at Man United, registering 6 G/A from 9 appearances under Ten Hag. The Danish international's impressive performances could serve to attract potential suitors for next season.
