It was part of a sponsorship event and did not go beyond a few minutes on the pitch, but the participation of the streamer Spreen in the Deportivo Riestra-Velez Sarsfield match has generated a lot of controversy in Argentine football. So much so that the AFA wanted to go one step further.
The General Directorate of the AFA sent a letter in which it asked the Ethics Tribunal to investigate ‘the registration, qualification and participation ’ of Ivan Raul Buhajeruk, better known as Spreen, in the first team of Club Deportivo Riestra for that match, in addition, against the leader Velez Sarsfield.
It calls for an investigation into "all conduct likely to damage the reputation and integrity of Argentine football, particularly when it involves illegal, immoral or unethical behaviour" with respect to the stipulations of the code of ethics.
A petition that also opens a file within the AFA on the issue and initiates the investigation of the matter by the Ethics Tribunal.
