While fans patiently wait for the club season to finish, the focus is on the squad finalization for the respective teams.
One manager who will have a tough task to picking the squad will be England’s manager Gareth Southgate. With several options to choose from Suthgate’s task of picking England’s best will need to be a well thought out process.
Especially with England set to consist of their golden generation, getting UEFA Euro 2024 final tickets will need to be the team’s key priority. Last time around the side came close to winning htie first silverware since the 1960’s but failed in the last attempt.
This time around, they want to make it count.
As England fans await the official announcement of the squad, TNT Sports’s has brought in strong support for Dominic Solanke, hinting that he should be an easy contender in the Euro 2024 squad for England. With 12 Premier League goals to his name, Solanke has been on fire for Bournemouth this season.
He’s garnered attention from home and away fans this season with his playing style and finishing abilities. Currently he is ranked just below Mo Salah and Erling Haaland and the 26 year old should be a good asstt for Southgate to have in Germany.
Cole acknowledged that Solanke’s journey from self doubt to becoming a top tier striker in the Premier League is an example for any youngster who wants to dedicate the long hours and put in the hard work. Cole noted that there could multiple suiotors fro Solanke at the en do fht eseason.
With the Euro 2024, Solanke name’s is a firm yes when it comes to a potential inclusion. The only con will be that Solanke just has a single cap for England, having represented the side in a friendly against Brazil in 2017.
Another player who’s taken the spotlight from West Ham was Kalvin Phillips. Ever since Phillips moved from Manchester City to West Ham he’s been on fire. Cole was of high praise for Philippis as he has evolved to be come a key player in the midfield for West Ham, filling up for Declan Rice.
For Phillips, who lacked regular playing time at Manchester City, West Ham was the ideal opportunity as he is now a key figure in the team, and West Ham are considering a buy out of the Phillips contract.
Cole highlighted that Phillips’s character he’s shown and emphasized the role he now plays for West Ham. This impactful role could be the deciding factor whether Phillips makes the cut for the Euros squad.
While Julian Nagelsmann was quite confident of his new appointment as coach of the German national team, he has a lot on his plate for hte next 2-3 months.
Hosting the Euros, German fans have already booked their Euro 2024 final tickets and Nagelsmann can’t disappoint.
The recent results for Gemranhy has not been imprrssive by any means. In the last two games, the side faced defeat to both Austria and Turkey and things aren’t looking too good.
In the meantime, the question of who plays center forward is a massive debacle that Nagelsmann needs to solve in the next few weeks.
Here are the top contenders.
With a mising tooth, a boxing player build, Füllkrug brings back the old school centre forward feels.
Füllkrug has always been an outlier to the traditional approach of a forward, and is quite not traditional in his ways of playing. Standing in contrast to the refined players such as Gerd Muller and Miroslave Klose, the Dortmund forward’s ability to lead the line and put down the defense is exceptiopnal.
His invaluable cotnributions ot club and country makes him a top tier player.
Coaches including Julian Nagelsmann understand and appreciate the effort that Füllkrug gives in during a game and appreciates him as a valuable player.
He will ideally be the front runner for the centre forward spot.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner is now 34 years and continues to be a key figure in the Germany national team.
Despite his build, he has the skill set to hold up the ball and outnumber the defense. With 40 assists and 45 international goals, there’s more to Müller's influence than just scoring goals.
But Nagelsmann and Müller have not had the best of times. Earlier when he was managing Bayern, the veteran only had limited playing time, as his prioirty was bringing in the next generation. But the 14 years of intenrtaional experience will be something that Germany needs this time around at the Euro’s and it feels like Nagelsmann would bury the past for what is best for the country.
The 28 year old playing VfB Stuttgart was a late entry to the international stage. After successful stints in the lower leagues, the breakthrough for Undav came with a move to Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.
Exceptional in the second tier, Undeav made a massive contribution to the team’s promotion.
Although the first season with Brighton following the beak was challenging, he impressed with this goals-to-minutes ratio showcases his capabilities.
Only five players in Premier League history have scored five goals in less time on the pitch than Undav, indicating his potential impact.
Currently playing for VfB Stuttgart, Undav would definitely be a assured choice in the Germany travlling squad.
At just 19 years of age, Moukoko is a promising talent for the future, but the question remains if he is ready for the big stage in 2024. Moukoko has two senior caps under Hansi Flick but Nagelsmann has yet to call him to the squad.
At a time when Germany are desprate of success with fans excessively making bids to purchase UEFA Euro 2024 final tickets, Nagelsmann would chose the trusted path when it comes to center forward.
The Euro 2024 might just be too soon for Moukoko but his goals-to-game record in the U21 level can be something for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers that will follow after the Euros.
