Jhon Duran has made a firing start to life in the Middle East as he scored twice for Al Nassr earlier on Friday. The Colombian striker was brought to Saudi Arabia after Al Nassr splashed out €77 million to sign him from Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
Duran made his debut for Al Nassr in the 4-0 victory over Al Wasl on Monday but couldn't find the back of the net despite having played the full length of the match. That said, he made sure to make up for it in his second appearance as he now counts two goals after two matches for Stefano Piolo's team.
Duran broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute of the game against Al Fayha - valid for matchday 19 of the Saudi Pro League - marking his first goal for his new side. Sadio Made was crucial in the build-up to the goal as he won the ball back in attack before the 21-year-old struck a clinical finish in the bottom right corner past two defenders and the goalkeeper.
The former Villa player then bagged his second of the night in the 72nd minute. Mane was once again decisive as he launched a cross for Duran, who lifted the ball over the Al Fayha shot-stopper from close range to double Al Nassr's advantage. Cristiano Ronaldo made it 3-0 just two minutes later to put the game to bed and seal the three points for the home side.
