Patrice Evra, former France footballer and self-confessed fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, spoke about his feelings when he saw the Argentina national team win the World Cup in Qatar. Although more than three months have passed, he still finds it hard to heal that wound.
"I saw the game live and I cried, I didn't expect that," said the former Manchester United and Juventus player, among others. Speaking to 'RCM Sport', Evra added: "After France-Argentina I got into my car and cried. I was sick for three days. It hurt me a lot.
Previously, the former France international had been trending for choosing Cristiano Ronaldo over Messi: "If Messi had the same work ethic as Cristiano, he would probably have like 15 Ballon d'Ors today. I'm in love with people who work hard, that's why I choose Cristiano Ronaldo over Messi".
"I'm sick of them giving it to Messi, what did he win? Yes, the Copa America, but what did he do with Barca?
