Barcelona completed this Thursday's training session without much news. The Azulgrana team will host Espanyol at Montjuic on Sunday 3 November, with the aim of continuing their brilliant form.
Ronald Araujo, Christensen and Ferran Torres continue with their recovery processes and join long-term injured players Marc Bernal and Ter Stegen as those ruled out for the derby.
Eric Garcia is another of the injured players on the list, and the defender was expected to be fit in time for the 12th La Liga matchday. But Flick and his team have suffered a setback and it seems that it has not been possible for him to recover in time and it is very unlikely that he will make the squad.
The 23-year-old, during the warm-up for the match between Barcelona and Sevilla on matchday 10, felt some discomfort in his right adductor muscle which prevented him from taking part in the game. He will continue to work on the sidelines with a view to returning to the squad as soon as possible. Barca will return to training this Saturday in what will be the last session before the match.
