According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Committee of Spanish Referees has rejected Barcelona's appeal for Hansi Flick's sending-off against Real Betis. As a result, the German coach has been sanctioned and will miss his team's next two league matches.

In Barcelona's last La Liga game against Real Betis, Hansi Flick was sent off. The Barcelona coach angrily protested that the referee had called a penalty on Vitor Roque by Frenkie de Jong and had to leave the field of play as a result of his vehemence from the touchline.
Four days later and after studying the allegations presented by the club, the Spanish Referees Committee sanctioned him with two matches without a seat on the bench.
The Catalans can still appeal, as suggested by some Spanish media. The referees' review of Barcelona's first protest has not been satisfactory for the referees because the judges understand that nothing is happening that the official in charge of the minutes does not describe in his text.
As a result, the German coach will be unavailable for his side's La Liga matches against Leganes and Atletico Madrid. But he will be able to lead his side out on the pitch at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night.
After Wednesday's encounter, his return will have to wait until early January, when he takes on UD Barbastro in the last 32 of the Copa del Rey.
