Chelsea, after a scrappy first half, managed to take the lead against Leeds after the break. Fofana's header gave the Blues the lead against the Peacocks in an evenly matched game.
In the 53th minute, Ben Chilwell's corner was met by Wesley Fofana who rised highest to score the opener for the hosts. In this way, the Frenchman scored his first goal for the Stamford Bridge team.
It is worth noting that Chelsea were in desperate need of points as the London side were 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham. Potter's side have not won in the Premier League since beating Crystal Palace on January 15th.
Their terrible run of just one win in 11 matches in all competitions could end today against Leeds.
