For Deschamps, Messi is not the best player in history

On top of the world since 18th December and Argentina's victory in the final of the 2022 World Cup, Leo Messi was crowned Ballon d'Or 2023 in Paris on Monday evening, and continues to prove that he is undoubtedly the best player in the history of football, with 8 awards to his name.

"The Argentinians say so. That's part of it, but it's difficult to say that Messi is better than (Cristiano) Ronaldo or Mbappe, who is younger. These are players who have left their mark on the history of world football," replied the two-time world champion.
