Forced reunion: Joao Felix joins Atletico Madrid squad

Atletico Madrid continue with their pre-season training routine. A series of sessions where hardly any familiar faces have been seen, as no signings have been made official for the 2024-25 season. The only new additions to the squad were last season's loan signings, although one was still to arrive.
This is Joao Felix, who, in principle, is due to arrive at the Cerro del Espino training complex on Friday 26th July after his holiday following the European Championship.
Although it may seem a very strange situation, the Portuguese still has a contract until 2029 with the 'Colchoneros'. That doesn't mean that his future will be at the Metropolitano.
Despite all the ups and downs of the last few years, a conclusion has already been reached at this point: neither Joao wants to play for Atletico, nor Atletico want Joao to stay. However, things don't quite add up for both sides.
