Former Athletic Bilbao player slams inconsistent VAR

Barcelona are into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. Xavi's side managed to beat Real Sociedad 1-0 and they are now waiting for their next opponents.
The match was not short of controversy. The biggest one came when Brais Mendez was given a straight red card. The referee understood that the bad tackle he made on Sergio Busquets, which saw his studs go into the Barca player's ankle, was worth a red card. The problem was is that Dembele made a very similar tackle on Alderete in their last La Liga game against Getafe and only saw yellow.
Former Athletic Bilbao footballer Mikel San Jose could not believe what he was happened. He slammed the VAR for being inconsistent. "Selective VAR. Amazing," he said sarcastically on social media.
"It's a clear red card, but it's amazing. Brais gets red, but Dembele doesn't," San Jose added.
