The relationship between Ronald Koeman and Joan Laporta is non-existent, it is broken. The Dutch coach once again criticised the current Barcelona president.
The Netherlands coach dreams of one day returning to Barcelona, although not in the current way: "If I have a dream, it is to return to Barcelona. Not as a coach, but to help with things like technique in football... but with a different president," Koeman said at the Koeman Cup, the golf tournament he organises himself.
The Dutchman spoke about Laporta's treatment of club legends: "In recent years Barca's problem is that Messi is out, I'm out, Xavi is out. I think the best thing to do is to respect the people, the legends of the club. The problem there is because of the board of directors. They work in a way that is not good".
"I know Xavi well and he is a very good person and a very good coach. He first said he would leave at the end of the season, then he had pressure from the president to stay... I don't know what happened. It's sad that he's out of Barca. It seems that the club's legends don't mean anything to the board," he criticised.
