While 'L'Equipe' reported that Olympique Lyonnais had contacted former Chelsea coach Graham Potter to replace Laurent Blanc after their disastrous start to the season, the English coach rejected the offer.

Without a job since last April, Graham Potter is free on the coaching market. His experience at Chelsea has been negative in every respect, with a difficult season in terms of results, despite the numerous signings made during the last winter transfer window.
According to 'L'Equipe', Olympique Lyonnais are considering the 48-year-old as a replacement for Laurent Blanc, who seems determined to get back on track with Lyon, who are bottom of Ligue 1 after four games and have lost a number of key players during the summer transfer window.
A meeting even took place with John Textor to discuss the possibility of coming to French club. However, the former England defender kindly declined the offer and will not be coming to Lyon.
Lyon have been sinking in every sense for several weeks now, and the two crushing defeats suffered at Groupama Stadium against Montpellier (1-4) and PSG (1-4) have not helped to create a positive atmosphere with fans fed up with the situation, who are demanding interest and involvement from the players present, despite the departures of Bradley Barcola and Castello Lukeba.
Julen Lopetegui, who is also being targeted by Villarreal, and Paulo Fonseca are on Lyon's shortlist.
