Former Madrid Star Di Maria dismisses Ronaldo's GOAT status, crowns Messi

Angel Di Maria has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo's recent assertion of being the 'most complete player ever', firmly backing his compatriot Lionel Messi in the eternal GOAT debate.
The former Real Madrid winger, who has played alongside both superstars, expressed little surprise at Ronaldo's comments, stating, "It was always like that. He always made those statements".
Di Maria pointed to Messi's superior trophy haul, emphasising, "The reality is shown in numbers. One has eight Ballons d'Or, the other five".
The Argentine international further highlighted Messi's World Cup victory and two Copa America titles as significant differentiators between the two footballing icons.
Di Maria praised Messi's consistent brilliance, noting that he "plays as if he were in the backyard" even after two decades at the top level.
While acknowledging Ronaldo's greatness, Di Maria left no doubt about his stance, declaring, "For me, Leo is the best in the world and the best in history, without a doubt".
