After sustaining a ligament injury to his left knee, Flamengo´s Pedro is set to be out for the rest of the 2024/2025 season. The Brazilian team is thus in search of a striker that can replace their number 9 whilst he is unavailable to the squad.
Anthony Martial's name is one that has caught Flamengo's interest. The French forward, currently a free agent after being released from Man United, has been linked to several clubs this summer transfer window. The likes of Inter Milan and Sevilla have been deemed possible destinations for the 28-year-old, though the striker continues to remain without a club despite the rumors.
His frequent injuries and high wages have often been an obstacle impeding possible moves.
That said, Flamengo could be a real possibility for Martial, as the club have reportedly initiated contacts with the Frenchman, as per transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.
