France's President Emmanuel Macron is taking it for granted that Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid after his official announcement that he is leaving PSG. On the other hand, the French president has once again asked Real Madrid to allow the player from Bondy to play in the Paris Olympics next summer under the orders of Thierry Henry.

Emmanuel Macron insisted he expects Real Madrid, considered the most likely destination for Kylian Mbappe, to allow the player to play in the Paris Olympics.
"I am counting on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympics so that he can come and play for the French national team," the French president said in a video posted on 'X', taking for granted what neither the club nor the footballer would yet confirm.
In the video, Macron answers a series of European-themed questions on the occasion of Europe Day, but between political, foreign affairs and defence issues, a lighter question creeps in: "What do you think of Mbappe's move to Real Madrid?
The Olympic Games start on 26th July, but Real Madrid have already warned that the players playing in the European Championship in Germany (14th June-14th July) will not be allowed to play in Paris due to the risk of injury.
In fact, the pre-season training camp and their summer tour of the United States, with a match already on 31st July, make it incompatible for them to play in the Olympics.
Mbappe announced his departure from PSG and the French league in a video message on social media, in which he did not reveal which club he would be leaving for.
Macron had already spoken on the matter, though without mentioning the Spanish club, when he said he had "put maximum pressure on what is believed to be Mbappe's new club" to allow him to play in the Paris Olympics this summer.
"I have put maximum pressure on what they say will be Mbappe's new club," Macron said in response to questions from French comedian Paul de Saint Sernin, posted on his Instagram.
