Frenkie to stay at Barca
According to 'Sport', despite there only being a couple of months before the transfer window reopens, Frenkie de Jong is still keen to stay at Barcelona. Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in him, but he is not thinking about changing clubs, especially when he is fighting for his place in Xavi's starting-11.

In the summer, Frenkie de Jong did not want to leave Barcelona; in January it will be the same story. The Dutchman was desired by Manchester United compatriot Erik ten Hag and there were offers of around €80 million. His 'no' made the Barcelona board keep him in their ranks, where he is a useful player for Xavi.
'Sport' claims that this is one of the main reasons as to why he will not leave in January. He is fighting for his place in the starting-11 with Gavi, and it appears he is just edging the battle. He started against Valencia, Bayern, Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal and Real Madrid.
The ex-Ajax man knows what he is capable of, and he will only consider leaving, based on the specifics, when the season ends. Therefore, he may or not have taken a step back from being the main man, but he could rethink, together with his team, his role at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona would still not mind selling him, as his high wage bill and his market value would pave the way for very fruitful business. What is more, the hopefuls being United, Liverpool and Chelsea (for now at least) boast bulging wallets, ready to break the bank.
