The winner of a World Cup and two European Championships with the Spanish national team Iker Casillas is clear that 'La Roja' have everything in their hands to qualify for the semi-finals. In an interview with 'Teledeporte', the former goalkeeper gave his opinion on the quarter-final against Germany.
"I think the team that win will probably be the next European champions," he said. He also predicted that the encounter will be watched "by a lot of people".
"It's going to be two teams that will have a lot of respect for each other. Obviously, the players will have to take the reins," he added. Casillas was very positive about the role of Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal in the team.
"Let them continue with as much confidence as they are so that they can be much better themselves and make the others better as well.
Finally, he wished Toni Kroos to play his last game. "Hopefully his farewell will be on Friday. I feel very sorry for him, because he's my friend, but I want Spain to go through to the semi-finals," he concluded.
