The season has just come to an end and clubs are starting to move towards the next one. There are less than 3 months left to get the ball rolling again, so there is no time to lose when it comes to putting together the squad.
One of the clubs most excited about the new season is Girona, who will be making their Champions League debut after finishing third in La Liga. And their first signing could be finalised soon.
The 20-year-old Uruguayan winger Luciano Rodriguez, who plays for Liverpool Montevideo, has confirmed that he is close to Montilivi. He has confirmed the news himself.
"Yes, it is true that there are negotiations with Girona and they are very advanced. It's close," the Uruguayan striker told “100% Deporte” about his immediate future.
Luciano Rodriguez has won the Under 20 World Cup with Uruguay and is one of the great promises of Uruguayan football. In fact, he could go to the Copa America with the senior national team.
