After Lamine Yamal did not play a single minute in FC Barcelona's defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday, there was speculation that the 17-year-old winger could be dropped from Spain's November international squad.
Just hours later, the ‘Cules’ have confirmed via social media that the Spain international has a grade 1 sprain in his right ankle, meaning he will be sidelined for between 2 and 3 weeks.
This means that Yamal will miss Spain's Nations League matches against Denmark and Switzerland, so Luis de la Fuente has had to think of a replacement for the young Catalans' star giant.
Girona winger Bryan Gil will replace Lamine Yamal for the next two games, as announced by the RFEF on social media. The former Tottenham player has been an undisputed starter for Michel, having played 15 games under him this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
