Golden Boy 2024: six Premier League players among the 25 finalists
The 25 finalists for the 2024 Golden Boy award have been revealed on Thursday by Italian outlet 'Tuttosport'. Three Man United players, two Man City players, and one Crystal Palace player have made the cut.

'Tuttosport' have unveiled on Thursday the names of the 25 finalists for the 2024 Golden Boy. The award is given to the best under-21 player every season by the Italian outlet .
The voting system for the Golden Boy consists of a panel of 50 journalists from the main outlets across Europe, who then participate in a ballot to select a winner from the 25 rising talents in European football.
Last year's edition of the Golden Boy saw Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham come away as the winner. For this year, Lamine Yamal is said to be the main contender for the award. The 17-year-old shined as he led Spain towards glory in the Euros with his stand-out perfomances.
There are six Premier League in the list. Manchster United count the most as Garnacho, Mainoo and Yoro have all been nominated for the award. Meanwhile, City have made the cut with two players: Savinho and Rico Lewis. Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton is the final player from the Premier league to be included. That said, Spurs' Wilson Odobert is among the list of Wild Cards.
